The best movie I have seen in recent memory is "Downfall" (German title is "Der Untergang").

I LOVE your blog. The idea of posting the high and low points of the New Yorker is a brilliant theme. Personally, I kind of like their comics, but their humor seems to be getting more and more remote (and they hope no one will notice). What I really hate is the poetry. lady eve, thanks . . . at some point I got tired of just making angry pen marks in the margins of the magazine . . . the poems I especially hate? the one's about the "poet's" kids. ug. i think your cartoons are lovely.

jenn, thanks for bringing this up - one of my favorite topics.
as i've said elsewhere i'm interested in collecting, archives, libraries and all manner of organizing of image and text . . . even a collection of snapshots has some creative, editorial presence. why did one see this and this and this but not that that and that?
There's such tension and dynamic in this picture. It brings to the mind the late works of...uh...ah hell, I forget.
That painting sucks. If you don't mind my saying, the New Yorker sucks too. :)

Read and look closely at the blog, its not a painting. Those are folded pieces of paper.
